On leaving for a long journey of some 8,000 klm or more my brother in law gave me a sign, a Loto sign. Rather a bazaar gift, I must say, but I liked the connection immediately, I took the gift as a symbol of my travels to come in the vast flatlands and ranges of Australia's Outback. After all life is a lottery! Having been a user of alternative energy methods I happened to have a 200 watt inverter in 'Sherman' (the green '79 'Cruiser) that facilitated the lighting of the lamp when in appropriate places to experience a surreal slip in placement. This image is of the Southern Kimberley west of Halls Creek just a stones throw from the Great Sandy Desert where many an intrepid explorer has met their doom.
